Antique E. Howard Watch Co. 14K Gold Filled Pocket Watch (c.1912–1915) - Runs
E. Howard Watch Co. 14K Gold Filled Pocket Watch (c.1912–1915)
Elegant early 1900s E. Howard Watch Co., Boston pocket watch, serial no. 1,574,893, featuring a 17-jewel manual-wind movement adjusted for temperature and positions. The case is gold-filled, double-hinged, and marked E. Howard Watch Co. – Boston – Extra.
A fine example of early American horology, this watch retains its elegant character and quality craftsmanship. The enamel dial is classic Howard — bold black Arabic numerals, sub-seconds register, and original blued steel hands, with the minute hand showing a slight bend at the tip.
The case exhibits a warm patina consistent with age, while the interior movement, once running, currently does not. The stem is stripped, and the glass crystal is missing, making this a perfect candidate for professional restoration or display.
E. Howard & Co. was among America’s premier watchmakers of the early 20th century, known for their precision engineering and refined aesthetics. Even in non-running condition, this piece represents timeless craftsmanship and value for collectors or restoration enthusiasts.
