Excellent condition. No chips, cracks or damage. Width of 7'', Depth of 2'', Height of 2''
Alfredo Barbini (1912–2007), a glass artist born in 1912 on the islands of Murano, in the lagoon of Venice, Italy, was one of Murano's leading figures of the 20th century. His parents were members of families, which had been prominent in the glassmaking industry on Murano for generations as glassblowers and beadmakers.
This beautiful classic Murano bullicante art glass bowl hand blown with a quilted swirling pattern to show off the controlled bubbles and gold glitter inclusion, aventurine in the lilac ( pink / light purple) background, and a polished pontil.
This example is in near perfect condition, with only minor scratches on the bottom where it has been set down on surfaces. Glass and glitter are still shiny and still glimmer in the sunlight. Stunning.
Original private collection, purchased in 1956 NYC
